Recycling centres: understand your containers and the options for recovery.
Identify sorting errors and the materials that could be recovered better. Depending on how the site is organised, observing a container, analysing at tipping or characterising a sample provide different information.
Mixed containers, collection rounds to optimise.
Planning collections
Knowing how full each container is, and what it contains, so that collections are triggered at the right time.
Detecting unwanted items
Spotting the contaminants and sorting errors visible in residual waste, scrap metal, furniture or green waste.
Tracing waste streams
Documenting composition at source to guide sorting and monitor your waste streams.
Different information depending on your site.
Container observation
A camera follows the visible surface and fill level of an open container: useful for planning collections and spotting visible sorting errors. It does not give the composition by mass of the whole container.
Analysis at tipping
When a container, bin or truck is tipped, AI video analysis recognises the visible materials and estimates a volume. The contents of closed bags are not analysed.
Dedicated characterisation
On a prepared sample, a characterisation station combines a conveyor, an analysis gantry and a scale for a more detailed measurement.
Explore on-demand characterisationAs an option, number plate recognition links a waste stream to the person or company delivering it; it is set up with your data protection officer and is not required for characterisation.
